Soo, this is the 2:nd book in in The Eldest Curses-serie (I can do a review of the first one if would like that!).

In this book, Alec and Magnus leaves their son Max in NY with Maryse and then they go on a vacation to Europe. They wanted a relaxing trip, with only the two of them. But, we can say that that didn't go as planned. At all....

I liked this more than the first one, called The Red Scrolls Of Magic.

Sooo, I'm reading this book now. Or, I listen to it. I'm a big Cassandra Clare fan, and have read most of her other shadowhunter books. I will soon be halfway through the book, and then I can tell more of what I think of it. For now, I feel like "it's an okay book". It could be better, but it could absolutely be worse too!

So good to be back in the Shadowhunters world. Especially with Malec! I love seeing their relationship grow and them getting even closer.
I would have liked to hear more about Max, he just sounds adorable.

This is book 2 in the series and another good read. Magnus and Alec are my favourites so I really love this series. This one though does feature more of the others which was a really great addition. The plot is steady and builds to a perfect climax. There is also an extra little short story featuring Tess and Jem which I loved as well. I like seeing the growth of Alec through these books as he becomes more sure of himself. 5*

I cant get enough of Shadowhunter books right now. I don't know what it is about em, they're not particularly outstanding in terms of writing but I love the characters & easily get lost in their world when reading. These are my feel good books

The book focusses more on Magnus and Alec; 2 characters which I love to read about. Magnus is particularly a favourite. IMO this was better than the first in the Edlest Curses series.

Finally finished! I started this whenever it came out but got sidetracked for a bit. I enjoyed this one, though it‘s definitely not the best book I‘ve read recently. I love Magnus and the Shadowhunters world, so I will just keep mindlessly reading any of these books that come out 😂 | ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Doing some book flip-flopping tonight. I read half of this a few months ago and never finished! I haven‘t been reading many physical books lately - hence my book bean to the rescue, as I hate holding them up 😂

I feel like having Clary, Jace, Isabelle, and Simon join the trip really slowed the story down because they constantly had to be saved. Simon was ultimately useless throughout the entire book. Some things also seemed to happen randomly and the big reveal just kind of fizzled out at the end. The scenes with Alec and Magnus as a family were my favorite and the extra scene featuring Tessa and Jem was so cute.

I was going to read this for only a bit tonight but ended up just devouring the rest. I ended up loving this one so much which was a nice surprise after Red Scrolls didn‘t quite hit the mark for me. I loved that we got to see so many of the old characters again and the plot really had me hooked. Can‘t wait for more! #shadowhunterchronicles

I‘m so excited to finally dive into this!! I have the whole evening to myself and no tasks glaring at my face to do them so I thought this would be the perfect time for this book seeing as I‘m not sure I‘ll be able to put it down once I start it😂 #shadowhunterchronicles

This book wasn‘t very long but it still felt like a lot. Cassie‘s writing is always quick and witty but in this book it felt almost tiring. Still, lots of favorite characters to hang out with.

I finally got some #bookmail today! I can‘t wait to start reading The Lost Book of the White📚❤️

What a lovely surprise! Went with Kindle/Audible deal when I purchased. After speed reading on release day, I've been listening to Audio the last couple of days. Kindle didn't have Bonus story but Audible did!
As for audio of Book. I like how BD Wong does Magnus' voice & overall story. Side Characters aren't as good. I get that Simon is depressed but he honestly sounds like Eeyore. Jace sounds like surfer dude. ⬇️

First rainy day in forever. Perfect for staying in with a book. I've a pretty edition on it's way from Waterstones for my #forevershelf. I'll reread once it arrives. For today's #bookholiday I read on my Tablet.

No Spoilers! Loved it! Especially how it fit in afte Tales From the Shadowhunter Academy but also showed important moments in the past. While it's a #malec story, #sizzy and #clace are there to help. And Max is adorable!
