A decent trip to Tuscany. Even with a side of murder, the draw to this book is the decadent descriptions of the regional culinary delicacies. Buon Appetito!

This mystery is only 304 pages, but it seemed to take forever to read. That‘s not a bad thing. I enjoyed leisurely days in Italy, chatting with friends, enjoying good food, and admiring an adorable dog. The mystery is secondary to the atmosphere and the characters‘ interaction. I wasn‘t compelled to work out the whodunnit, but I may try to make a few of the dishes described.
The next one for my October is for mysteries reading list.

I really appreciate that #thebookdrop introduces me to gems I may have never heard of otherwise. I enjoyed this literary visit in Gravigna! I was a bit more drawn in by the wonderful Tuscan setting, engaging characters, and food descriptions than the mystery. It inspired me to order an espresso and bombolone from our local Italian cafe! ☕️😋
This month #thebookdrop sent me “Murder in Chianti” for my “Books for Coffee” subscription! A beautiful Tuscan setting, details on Italian food and wine, and a murder mystery - this is SO up my alley!! This was the best surprise to get in the mail today! #bookmail
I really liked this murder mystery set in the Chianti region of Tuscany. I hope this becomes a series. In addition to a well written book, the food descriptions are enough to make your mouth water. If you like Italian food. 🇮🇹🍝🍷
