I think this book can be used at the beginning of the school year when it comes to making class rules and making sure everyone knows how worthy they are as a part of the team (the class). And the diversity seen in the book is also great so no matter the demographics of your students this will reach them all because mostly everyone will see themselves in it.

“I Promise“ is illustrated by Nina Mata and she does a beautiful job of using the element of texture to really explore different hair types and styles among different races and ethnic groups. I think it is important to open the eyes of students to every type of person and also make sure that everyone sees themself in a story.

Book 1
This was such a great book and surpassed my expectations. It had some great lessons that every kid should read.

Much better than expected. Available as an Overdrive readalong narrated by LeBron‘s mom.

What a great inspirational book for students. I could see the P.E. teacher using this for team building. I just added it to my library.

After August 4th we move on a week to August 11.

We start with a new Picture book by Lebron James. How awesome is it that he uses his celebrity status to start schools (IN THE US) in disadvantages communities. I can not wait to read this book.
