Lucy Harper was 9 years old when her brother vanished in the woods near home. As the only witness, Lucy‘s story of that night became crucial to the police investigation. 30 years on, her brother‘s whereabouts are still unknown. — Now Lucy is a bestselling thriller writer. Her talent for invention has given her fame, fortune, and an army of adoring fans.
I seem to be picking up books with unlovable characters recently. I enjoyed the story but didn't care about any of the characters. They were all one dimensional and didn't bring much. It was a good book to read outside and enjoy the sunshine. I did like that the ending was a neat little bow.

Today‘s Prompt: OPPOSITE OF “LIES”
The book has a slow build up, but once Dan, her husband, disappeared, the tension kept the pages turning.
TO TELL YOU THE TRUTH is a page turning, emotional read with twists and surprises you won‘t see coming. 4/5

Crime writer Lucy Harper is about to face a real life mystery when her husband Dan goes missing. Years ago, Lucy‘s younger brother also went missing and was never found.
Is there a connection..?
Just to put it simply this book was “fine.” It kept me turning pages but the ending let me down and left me feeling unsatisfied.
Have you read this one? Anyone else feel let down with the end?
It‘s COLD here in Florida and all I want to do is curl up and read. I have Zoom calls all day but maybe I can sneak in a chapter or two 😂🦩
Book #6 of 2021! So far I like it. I think it‘s taking a multiple personality route, but I could be wrong!

The story will keep you wondering about how the husband was murdered. All the pieces come together in the end. Do successful people ever have happy marriages?
Oh - I could easily close the door and have enough to read until the end of 2021!

I'm only a few chapters in, and already I hate Lucy's husband, Dan. What a jerk!
Whew! I just finished the book. I found the ending satisfying. I was surprised by the identity of the murderer. It made sense but was a convenient way to tie things up. This was a fun way to spend a few hours.
I received a free copy from Scene of the Crime Early Read program via NetGalley in exchange for my honest review.
Thank you to @WilliamMorrowBooks for the opportunity to read and review this book.
Lucy is a successful author who has a past. Her husband goes missing and Lucy is pulled into a police investigation. Her past and present collide. Can she keep reality and fiction separate?
I enjoyed this book but felt like I could scream at Lucy. She‘s not a very likable character and kept rooting for her though. Everyone deserves a happy ending. Out 9/22/2020
New week, new book. Scene of Crime by William Morrow on Facebook provided the ebooks on Netgalley for people who signed up. First time with this author!
This was such a good read and I read it in almost one sitting. The story just flows so easily you dont want to stop. The story jumps from present to the past but it doesnt affect the flow. The plot is steady building to a fascinating ending. There was some clever twists to the story that I really enjoyed. Eliza added an interesting depth to the story and helped to lead you down a possible conclusion to the story #Netgalley 4*
Gilly Macmillan never fails to write a brilliant plot. Unique storyline which keep me reading till the last turn of the page. There is so many twists and turns iLucy brother vanished without a trace leaving Lucy to invent Eliza. To help her through. Eliza is ever present in. Lucy‘s life through her best selling stories. Lucy is suddenly thrown back into a world of rumour and speculation. A real page turner
