I was supposed to go to a book club meeting, but instead I locked my keys in my car with my phone and work keys and had to wait 90+ minutes for a locksmith. So instead I got a giant bacon cheeseburger and am watching GBBO. How's your night going?
Right as I'm knee deep in a Great British Baking Show binge, one of the bookish candles shops I buy from announced a non-bookish Dec candle of the month - Star Baker! I'm tempted ya'll, and have no business buying more candles right now 🙈

pickThis is one of the times I wish there was a reading on Litsy between Pick and So-So. This is good with a lot of classic British baking recipes; nothing Cray though. My biggest issue with it is that the measurements are in grams. And yes I get that those are the measurements used across the pond, but it probably would've been useful to also include cups and such as well. Regardless, a few recipes were copied out before it went back to the library.
I'm fighting some sort of bug that has me all achy, so Pippin and I are cuddling and watching Great British Bake Off. Hopefully tomorrow I'll feel up to reviewing the two books I finished this week.
Someone fell asleep after dinner while watching GBBO. Couldn‘t grab a book before he did so I am trying to knit and not move as much as possible! 😬
After binge watching many seasons of The Great British Baking Show (or whatever it's called) plus a couple seasons of Paul and Mary's masterclasses, I HAD to dust off my Kitchenaid and attempt bread. It's cooling now. I'm so nervous.

I LOVE this show! Its the equivalent of eating sugar. I just want more. Makes me sad that Mel, Sue, Mary and Paul won't be filming it anymore.

Mel, Sue, Mary Berry, omg ALL THE PASTRIES? These are all seriously addictive to the little girl that sort of wanted an easy-bake oven but was a bit too old for one. Now I'm really more of a cook than a baker - I only bake when I can make use of my bread machine, as in the pizza above. But Mary is a total inspiration, and the hosts are cards.
