so-soI‘m sorry to say, but this was one of the weaker middle grade reads I‘ve encountered. I gravitated towards it because of the main character, a 12-year-old girl with anxiety surrounding letting go of items. It was an interesting premise and I applaud the author for bringing this subject to light, but I was unimpressed with the execution. Maybe there were too many things going on, so none of them were given enough development? It fell short for me.

#middlegradeMarch is just around the corner and I plan to start with the tagged book. I have no idea how many books I‘ll get through but this photo shows some I‘m looking forward to. That said, there is a very good chance something else will catch my eye — middle school librarian, I‘m always distracted when new books come into my libraries 😊
