Beauty. Wealth. Success. She's got it all. And it all should've been mine. When Eleanor Hardwicke's beloved father dies, her world is further shattered by a gut-wrenching secret: the man she's grieving isn't really her dad. Eleanor was the product of an affair and her biological father is still out there, living blissfully with the family he chose. With her personal life spiraling, a desperate Eleanor seeks him out, leading her to uncover another branch on her family tree--an infuriatingly enviable half sister. Perfectly perfect Victoria has everything Eleanor could ever dream of. Loving childhood, luxury home, devoted husband. All of it stolen from Eleanor, who plans to take it back. After all, good sisters are supposed to share. And quiet little Eleanor has been waiting far too long for her turn to play.

Wow, just Wow! I loved and hated this book. It's the epitome of a domestic thriller, but it made my blood boil! I'm not even sure how many stars I'd give it because I'm wavering between 0 and 5 lol. It's beautifully done and definite pick for the craftsmanship of the twists and turns but it also left me reeling! If you haven't read it and love thrillers you should read it and tell me what to rate it lol

I've just started this one while I have a pile of unread books in my Libby library. I just can't get into anything on Libby lately for some reason, except Night Film, but it's very long. Anyway, this one has a very interesting premise, and I'm sucked in at this point. Will update with review when finished!!

Read more books this week for #JoysofJune than I have in a while. Still haven‘t finished The Guest List, since a bunch of audiobook holds came in… ans most of my available “reading time” lately has been at work, so it‘s actually audiobook time 😜 Hoping to finish one more by the end of the readathon, which will be The Power Couple. 🤩 @Andrew65

SilversReviews I really enjoyed MOTHER MAY I and AN ANONYMOUS GIRL. 4y
Clwojick @SilversReviews YES! Mother May I was dark as heck! I loved it. 4y

This book was not what I was expecting! My first thought after I finished it was “What the heck did I just read?”. I definitely need to read the other books by this author because if they are anything like this one I am in for a treat! Definite 🌟🌟🌟🌟!

4💫💫💫💫 Suspensful, surprising and psychological thriller.

Oh this was backstabbing, family jealously fighting down right entertaining read. Iiked the questions for discussion and the interview with the author at the end. Probably will be a series on Netflix.

Author 𝐇𝐚𝐧𝐧𝐚𝐡 𝐌𝐚𝐫𝐲 𝐌𝐜𝐊𝐢𝐧𝐧𝐨𝐧 tells a tale of longing for a close, loving family; greed; & revenge in 𝐒𝐢𝐬𝐭𝐞𝐫 𝐃𝐞𝐚𝐫. It's a slyly diabolical thriller in which McKinnon deftly controls a cleverly-plotted narrative full of stunning twists & a bombshell finale. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⁣

I wasn‘t quite sure what to expect with this family thriller- and I must say, McKinnon definitely throws in plenty of surprises to the plot! It kept my attention from start to finish and I can see this being the perfect vacation diversion! I enjoyed the Portland, Maine setting and while main character Eleanor makes some cringe-worthy choices, she‘s far from the real villain here!

This was a crazy, dark thriller with so many twists! I really enjoyed it!
Eleanor finds out her father is not her biological father and she tries to connect with her real father and her newly discovered half-sister. What started as interest in expanding her family becomes an obsession...

It is so good!
