I have to take a break from The Wangs vs. the World. I‘m in desperate need of a light, fun read after A Gentleman in Moscow. If you haven‘t checked out this series before I definitely recommend it! Even though it‘s middle grade.

Bradleygirl I really got into these! Bought the last one in the series bc the library was too slow. 7y

jfalkens @TricksyTails I've been trying to read The Eye of the World and I've been sick the last few days. The big books take longer and slumps and life happen. You just have to tell yourself next month will be better xxxx 7y

Enjoying this creepy grim book-fantasy, though as it's the sequel it's a bit less interesting than the first.

The plot thickens (insert evil laugh in your choice). There's definitely a strong good versus evil vibe, with some heavy shades of grey. This is the second in the series and it's considerably darker than the first book. I liked this one more than the first, despite the introduction of a lot of new characters. I get the impression they might be important later.
