Promises to keep with ice cream to eat. #autobiography
This moment right now just made me cry. He‘s so humble. This guy he‘s known for years. You could see him say something and it sees it was something like “you know it‘s Joe.” Then this response and a little chuckle. So much to be choked up about today. Such a happy day.
Man I wish I would have taken off of work today! I just want to watch TV.

“While Gorman declined to preview any lines, she told the AP she was encouraged by the inaugural committee to emphasize messages of unity and hope without “denigrating anyone” or declaring “ding, dong, the witch is dead" over Biden's electoral defeat of President Trump.”
It‘s official!!! The best part is, Trump can‘t throw a Twitter tantrum because he‘s locked out of his account right now!!! 💙💙💙🤣😂🤣🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸
I *love* policy, but this was a bit much, even for me. So, as a public service, here's the bottom line takeaway from Promises to Keep: Joe Biden is a good man and a good public servant.
I read this in the hopes of learning more about Biden through his own words. Unfortunately, he comes across as very privileged and condescending. His personal tragedies are horrible, but his political career was built through steam room introductions and private lunches. He also spends a ton of time justifying past behavior, like a plagiarism scandal that ruined his presidential campaign in the ‘80s and sounds defensive. It left me feeling cold.
The Joe on these pages wasn‘t yet Vice President Joseph R. Biden, Jr., and he was even further removed from being a leading candidate for the Presidency in 2020, but he was saying the same things he‘s saying now: decency matters. Respect matters. Dignity matters. Kindness matters. Goodness matters. What a concept. #promisestokeep #joebiden
While Joe Biden‘s personal story is compelling, his political life has been nothing but boring. This book actually made me like him less, especially in light of the recent news of him flip flopping on the Hyde amendment. This may be my last #readthecandidates book. (This was #13) I am hoping the ones I haven‘t gotten to drop out soon. 🤣
