When is the last time you found a book for fifty cents? Trying to add books to my classroom library, I hit the lottery. I bought so many books for little of nothing. This is just one of those books that only cost fifty cents.

My name: Megan Young
My #LitsyHandle: TheKidUpstairs
I used to spend all my time on my room, reading. One day my sister came home with some friends to what they thought was an empty house. A couple of them started freaking out when they heard noises coming from the second floor. My sister tried to reassure them, saying "don't worry, it's just the kid upstairs." The nickname stuck.

Day 23: Book You've Owned the Longest. I'm pretty sure I have books from when I was really young back home at my parents house, but I have these. I grew up surrounded by books and have memories of them always around. So I'm not totally positive which books I've owned the longest. Avi was a particular favourite, always got his books in those scholastic book sales. #riotreads
Avi's books are one of the reasons I fell in love with reading as a kid. I read this in the fifth grade for school. His cycle of historical novels set in Providence were my favorites. It also included "The Man Who Was Poe" and "The True Confessions of Charlotte Doyle." I grew up nearby and would visit Providence. It was such a memorable experience to walk the streets and visit the landmarks of these books. #photoadaynov16 #readinschool
