so-soThis is one of those books that need a trigger warning even though it spoils some of the plot. You know from the beginning that the plot revolves around suicide, but there's also rape in the book. Its done in an unusual way for a book but not outside what I would think of as the norm for its occurence.
That said, the book itself is good. The writing is good. The story plays out in a believable fashion and it kept me interested.
so-soThis was a fast read, perfect for #24in48. I didn't find any of the characters particularly sympathetic and I think that's the real falling here. The back and forth perspective from the narrator's adult POV to teen years gave a little too much foreshadowing and was a bit redundant in thought. It wasn't a bad read, just not something I'd rush to recommend. 10:30 into #readathon
