Book 19 in this series now complete, can‘t think of one book in The Hamish Macbeth Series I haven‘t enjoyed. These are good, quick entertaining books with a great character. Hamish is the local constable who keeps solving the many murders in the area, but tries to go under the radar as he doesn‘t want to be promoted and have to move away from his beloved Lochdubh. However his relationships, or not, with women are rather a car crash!! Onto book 20.

kspenmoll I must try one! 6y
Andrew65 @kspenmoll They are very short reads, good between the heavier books. 6y

B&N Readouts does it again! I‘ve had the Hamish Macbeth series on my wishlist for awhile; so happy it was featured this month! While I usually like to start a series at the beginning (even when it‘s okay to read them as a stand alone) I couldn‘t pass up a free opportunity to read this! I liked Hamish as a detective and the mystery was interesting. I enjoyed it but wasn‘t totally captivated. I‘ll likely go back to the book one, but I won‘t rush to.

Finished the nook serial read today... cute little mystery that I think I'm going to use as my cozy mystery for the #booked2018 challenge.
This book is #19 in the series but the only one I've read and pretty stand alone. Good but don't feel the need to go back and read the other 18!

drokka This one is the 19th book in the series, but you don't really need to have read the others. Each novel's mystery is standalone. There are some series storylines too, but there on a personal level and not about the mysteries. 7y
