Of all the ironies, I had to read this for my book club. The character work is good, but I never truly cared about Marie's story. That stream-of-consciousness style of nattering on just isn't for me. #fiction

Hey all, the 2021 #Overbookedclub is almost over for the year. Above is what they read. And they are getting ready to choose title for 2021. If you are looking for a bookclub, why don't you check them out. Hit the tag or @sblbooks for more information.
I say I am not doing it every time! But alas, I just have to share Graphic Novels & Manga.
So if you are interested in those, join me. The sign up page is on @Suvata s page.
Because of work reading (judging season is upon me). I can do nor more than GN and Manga. I just won't have the time.
If there is not enough interest to fill my groups, I will back out and let someone else have the spots for different theme..

A short, lighthearted read in the form of the diary of 60-year-old Marie Sharp. Marie is a strong-minded woman who lives in London and is both expecting her first grandchild and having to watch one of her dearest friends battle cancer. She also has recently sworn off men, but an old flame keeps popping up everywhere. Marie thinks 60 is the perfect time to lay back and let life pass you by. But life still has a few surprises yet!
I swore I wasn't going to try this, but the deal was too good... #botm
