Egan‘s debut ties Goon Squad as my favorite. The storyline about the sisters is engrossing, but the way she uses their story to illustrate the idealism of the 60s giving way to the much darker 70s makes this 5⭐️!
In 1969, Faith‘s idealism led her from SF to Europe, where she died. Nine years later, her sister follows in her footsteps to try to find answers. The places she goes have changed a lot in those years, and she must find a way to let go.
