Gangster romance: just not for me. Both characters make terrible decisions. And it's like nails on a chalkboard every time he says "baby girl" (ick).

I liked this book but not as much as the first one in the series, Thirsty. These are more gritty in the romance department - very raw and real and well… a lot more than dirty talk haha. That being said, even though it‘s different from my usual, I did enjoy both! The heroes. who have been involved in gang life and done prison time, Narrate for a unique perspective.
Book 5 for #winterreadathon @DieAReader @Andrew65 @GHABI4ROSES
Eddie “Trouble” Rosas has just gotten out after 5 years in jail. Carmen is a good girl chef with a taste for the bad boy. Their hidden past lies in them growing up in East L.A. Hopkins did a wonderful job of painting the neighborhood and the culture that resides there. While Eddie is trying to turn straight and be the good guy Carmen sees in him, the old gang life calls. Lots of steamy scenes, a good story, a pick!!! #loveinthetimeofthecoronovirus
I didn't click with this one the way I did with Thirsty, but it's still a good, steamy read with some heavy themes (redemption, family, etc). I'm really looking forward to Tanked with the third brother though. 👀
