I think these pictures are captivating! They are simple yet, kind of spooky! There are more words than lower level picture books, but the picture book is not super long or overwhelmingly difficult. This would be a great read aloud .

Albert Einstein. This is a fun picture book that talks about Alberts life. He had a big head and was a troubled child. They speak of him from his birth through his life.

What this #pucturebook #biography of #AlbertEinstein does well is show how young Albert‘s “oddities” were in fact normal for him (as they might be for the young readers of this book —and their parents). It also shows how Einstein lived and created in his brain as he participated in ordinary life (see lovely illustration above of dad Einstein thinking!). Short author‘s note and bibliography. I really enjoy the charm and wittiness of #DonBrown‘s illustrations in this #picturebook #biography of #AlbertEinstein.

This is a good picture book for for introducing biographies.

I like this book because it talks about how Albert Einstein was an odd ball as a child. Even a genius like him didn‘t fit in growing up. This could be really inspirational for a child.

Albert Einstein is one of the most well known minds and this is a biography about him. I love that he started out being put down and now he is known as the genius of our time. This is an inspirational story because he was able to overcome everything that was put against him. The illustrations in this book are also awesome!

A great book showing how someone we know & look up to struggles in life. He was bullied and faced hard ships but still persevered.

Odd Boy Out by Don Brown (biography, published 2004) is a biography of Albert Einstein. It has a cartoon character and shows the struggles he faced growing up, including bullying and his grandma saying his head is “too big”. It wasn‘t easy but he has faced the challenges and ended up leaving a huge impact.

This book would be good for 5th graders and up. The words are harder and there are paragraphs throughout the book. The book was very informative and if children wanted to learn about Albert Einstein this book would be perfect.

Odd Boy Out by Don Brown, 2004. I learned that Albert Einstein‘s grandmother thought his head was too big. Albert had a lot of angry growing up. Growing up Albert is the odd one out. Albert came up with theories of relativity, and E = Mc2. Which means automatic door openers, television, space travel, and atomic energy.

Helps explain some of the ways that Albert Einstein became intelligent along with the materials he worked with. Interesting story to hear!

Odd Boy Out by Don Brown was published in 2004. The book tells the life about Albert Einstein. From a young age, he was always interested in math. He didn‘t enjoy studying subjects he didn‘t like and he didn‘t enjoy playing sports. He grew to be incredibly intelligent in math and has become well known today.

One tells Albert he would “never get anywhere in life”

This book is perfect for a classroom because it shows the life of an odd boy who became something bigger and some children might be able to relate.

Odd Boy Out by Don Brown was written in 2004. This book is about the life of Albert Einstein and how he started off his life when he was young. Everyone thought he was an odd boy, and made fun of him sometimes. Even though he was an odd boy, he did great things! This book is perfect for a teacher to read to older students.

When he is nearly three, his parents promise Albert a surprise, and he expects a toy. When instead they present him with a baby sister, he says, “where are the wheels?”

There are many people in history who kids never see the humanized side of. No one is perfect, even very important people. I think it‘s important for them to see that everyone has had ups and downs and has their flaws.

This biography would definitely be inspirational to children. It gives good details on his life and how he was different from others. It doesn‘t glorify him & make it seem like he was always seen as perfect. The illustrations are also very cute and appropriate for the time.

I had no clue Einstein had a sister and was mean to her as a kid.

I like that this book starts at the beginning of Einsteins live to gain an understanding of where he came from. It's a good thing for kids to know the full history of things. I'm not the biggest fan of the art style but I dont think theres anything wrong with it.

Teaches children to be who they want to be because they can do great things.

Biography. I think this is a wonderful biography to have in a classroom. It‘s easy and fun to read but it‘s also educational and tells of a very fascinating man.

Odd Boy Out by Don Brown, 2004. This is a wonderful children‘s biography. It‘s simple and engaging with wonderfully done illustrations. But it‘s also informative and tells the very interesting story of Albert Einstein‘s early life. It‘s told in a way that feels like a story but it‘s very real. The illustrations and the story is such a fantastic way, they really make the story a wonderful read.
