Enolas landlady, Mrs. Tupper, is the closest thing Enola has to family these days, besides her occasional run-ins with her brother Sherlock. Even though Mrs. Tupper is nearly deaf and can barely cook, shes an endearing presence as Enola longs for her absent mother. So imagine her horror when Enola comes home to find Mrs. Tupper kidnapped! Who would take her, and why? And what does Florence Nightingale have to do with it? From the master of mystery Nancy Springer, heres another absorbing adventure for our award-winning, unstoppable heroine, Enola Holmes.

Another Enola Holmes winner! I believe the reason these are so delightful is bc of narrator Katharine Kellgren. I recognized her voice from the Incorrigible Children of Ashton Place series. She has great voices and comedic timing.

Another fun and quick adventure with Enola Holmes. In this one, her landlady is kidnapped, and it's up to Enola to rescue her from demons of her past!

AkashaVampie I love the covers of these books. 4y

Each #EnolaHolmes mystery is just as entertaining and charming as the next. This is the fifth. Narrator #KatherineKellgren does a marvelous job!

Moray_Reads I didn't realise the film was based on books! 4y
mom2bugnbee @Moray_Reads I'm so hoping that there will be more. But with COVID... 🤷🏻‍♀️ 4y
dragondrool I watched (and loved) Enola Holmes a couple of months ago. When I asked my librarian buddy at school if she'd watched it, she mentioned the books. I had no idea there were books. Even though I help out in the library every day, the kids aren't much into books like these, so they never popped up on my radar. I think we have all of them, too. I might have to read them soonish. 4y

Probably my favorite book so far in the series, a solid mystery involving fact, the Crimean War and Florence Nightingale, and fiction. I always want more interaction between Enola and Sherlock, but I think this one worked best with just a minimum encounter. 4 🔎🔎🔎🔎 1/2

Kind of ridiculous how much I love these books... This one taught me a smidge about Florence Nightingale and the Crimean War, both of which I knew close to nothing. I was also pleased with myself because I figured out one of the mysteries fairly early on, which never happens. Only one more book in the series to go!
