Disappointed to see a Starbucks opening in the suburbs of Melbourne.
Do they not remember losing 105 million dollars and closing 61 locations the last time they tried convincing Australians that Starbucks was good?
StaceGhost It‘s not their fault. They didn‘t realize Australia mastered the flat white and their version is an imperialist mockery. Just what I‘ve heard, anyway lol 2y
Teresereading I didn‘t like their coffee, but I liked getting the bags of used grounds for my compost! 2y
thegirlwiththelibrarybag @StaceGhost, they were expensive and sugary 🤔 maybe they think as a society we are ready to accept both now. I‘m anti-(coffee)chains tbh - especially ones that dodge tax. And I‘m not a coffee drinker but since I live in Melbourne, home of the hipster, the coffee snob and the insatiable cafe bruncher - I have opinions 🤣 2y

thegirlwiththelibrarybag @Teresereading, did not know that was something that they offered… composting is very cool! 2y
CarolynM I once went to the Starbucks that was briefly on the corner Bourke and Swanson Streets. It was a hot day and I enjoyed the iced drink I had there - I‘m not sure exactly what it was but I‘m very sure it wasn‘t coffee🤣 2y
thegirlwiththelibrarybag @CarolynM, one of their famous faux iced coffees perhaps? 🤣 2y
