Miranda‘s mother wrote a famous book about the English country estate where she grew up then moved to Australia and cut off contact with her family and died. When Miranda receives a letter from a young cousin asking for help, she travels to England where she‘s not welcome to investigate. #roll100

ShutterMegabooks @vivastory I read that when it was on the NBA longlist. The concept was brilliant, but the execution was good but not great for me. I still have in my head what I visualized when she was describing tense scenes, and I love when books are that distinct. I‘m definitely on the lookout for her next novel. Cinfhen I started Shutter on audio but it wasn‘t really holding my attention- i think it was more of a narration thing then a disinterest in the storyline- I don‘t really remember anymore 2y
