Looking over the list of books I've read, I came across this one. I read it when it first came out and found it to be entertaining. It's Summer 1855...a gap in Louisa May Alcott's life that little is known. McNees develops a love story during this summer, which serves as a catalyst for Alcott's later works. #setinthesummer #SplashIntoSummerReads
I loved it. A fictional romance between Louisa May Alcott and Joseph Singer filled in with real facts of her life and family. I thought it was very lame that Bronson father philosopher made his family suffer because of his work/economy views, or lack thereof. Nicholas‘ death was a horrifying jolt. Was that real? I totally admire and respect Louisa‘s sense of practicality and reality in following her own path of writing. Big fan of the book!!
