When I don't feel well, I want fluff, so I picked up the next book in the Chesapeake Shores series. In the first three books, about three different siblings (of six) the background story is the parents, who have been divorced for a long time, slowly getting back together, and this book focused on them. I did enjoy it, but also didn't feel like the whole situation with Megan's gallery was very well resolved. That's really been my overall issue ⬇

TheAromaofBooks (cont'd) with this series - a character will have a valid issue and then in the end it's just like “oh love solves everything, yay!“ instead of actually addressing them?? And it really aggravates me. Still. A soft pick.

Clwojick I hate when an author does that! They make a point of introducing a legitimate concern/situation, and then just fluffs over it so it can end with a happy ending. I‘m like where is the resolution? Why are they still not communicating? Lol 2y
Librarybelle Yeah, that‘s a disappointment! But, yay for fluff reading! 2y
TheAromaofBooks @Clwojick - Right?? What's the point of creating this concern if you aren't going to have the characters address it?? This author seems to make a habit of doing this, so I'm not sure if I want to finish the series lol 2y
TheSpineView Way to go! 2y

I struggled to get into this one. The bickering was annoying but Megan‘s wishy-washiness was just downright aggravating. I guess it made for enough material to form a story, but with every excuse she gave to push the wedding back made me wish someone would just slap her. Now on to the next book...Conner‘s story...

Finally got some closure for Megan and Mick. Interesting twist from their son Connor but not surprised. I'm ready to read the next book which focuses on Connor.
