#IDLR #InDeathLongReadalong book 12.5 Ch.6-10 and review: sorry for the late post. I have the world‘s worst cold right now and even reading is a challenge. I enjoyed this whirlwind novella but I found it a bit too speedy for some bits of info that were divulged - like the fact that Roarke‘s father could have known Eve‘s in Dallas. We‘ll have to spend longer on that tidbit I think. ⬇️

StayCurious I enjoyed that this took place off planet - that was a neat futuristic twist and allowed us to see more of Roarke‘s dream world Olympus. The next book is Seduction, which is actually the first In Death book I ever read. We will skip May and read this starting in June to give those of us who need it a bit of a break. Let me know if you want to be added or removed from the main tag list. 2d
Librarybelle I‘m almost finished with Judgment (life has been a big mess lately). This should give me plenty of time to catch up for Seduction in June! I‘m loving this…thanks for continuing to host this!! 2d

LiseWorks I could use a break as well. Lol. I enjoyed this off world book as well. 2d
Ddzmini Agree with that fact about the fathers since ones from Ireland and the other from the states… but it could happen as we don‘t really know that much about Eve‘s parental history 2d
TheAromaofBooks Yes, I definitely want more info about both the fathers. I thought this one had some good twistiness for how short it was. Thanks for continuing to host this - I am not sure I would have ever gotten around to this series if it wasn't for this group read, and I am really loving them!! 2d

This month's #IDLR was a novella where we saw more of Roarks' world. On another planet where there is a cops convention and murder happens. Sometimes, the past comes back to haunt you. @StayCurious

#IDLR #InDeathLongReadalong Book 12.5: Ch.1-5: this one takes place on Olympus which is a neat change from the norm. At a police conference, a hero cop‘s bodyguard is murdered. This hero cop has it out for Roarke and Eve - since she refused to help take down her husband. But would this cop go so far as murder to get his man? This one has tricky family dynamics- as usual - but this time it‘s Roarke‘s father stepping into the mix. ⬇️

StayCurious With Eve away from her territory will she be able to solve the case and protect her man? 2w
LiseWorks We get to see more about Roarke as well. And he gets a little testy with Eve 2w

StayCurious @LiseWorks he always gets testy when it comes to his past 2w
TheAromaofBooks This was a fun way to get everyone off-planet - we still have the whole gang, but with really different dynamics since it isn't their turf. 2w
StayCurious @TheAromaofBooks especially Morris haha 2w
LiseWorks I just noticed you have Sam and Dean as Skinner & Peabody @StayCurious 😄 2w

So this was a side book from the beginning of the series… and there‘s more of them I‘m going through now but I liked this even though it was a short book

12.5 in the series is done. It had a lot going on for a novella. It probably could have been developed more so it was a softer pick for me. However, I have the benefit of reading this when the series is much further along. If I‘d been reading as they were published, I think I would have loved it while waiting for the next book.

My first finish for #progressitnovember. This is an in between Novella in the In Death series (#12.5). It was decent as far as novellas go. Not fully developed, but intriguing enough.

Andrew65 Well done 👏👏👏 4y

A quick read novella at around 95 pages, but it packs a lot into those pages. Still revolves too much around Roarke though. 4🌟

This was a great quick read and I always love when Eve and Roarke have to deal with their past.

For some reason I‘m just not getting into Lethal White. So taking a break and reading some of the shorter In Death books. As usual the characters quickly draw me in and remind why I love this series so much❤️❤️
