⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️/5
I was hoping for this to be soothing and cute and it was mostly just very dull. I found the characters very flat and I found myself not caring about them, their romance, their antique shop or the antiques business more generally. I felt like I was waiting for some spark or humour and I just never got it.

1. 😒😒😒 (because tbh I‘m not enjoying it)
2. Oooooh this is hard because I love stand-alones! I did love your nostalgia is killing me SO much I wanted it to be longer though.
3. I think I gave trainspotting 3⭐️ for being good but not as good as the movie
✅ 1/2 book of my goal for #joysofjune
It was a wonderful read and passed by fairly quickly for me. I learned a lot about antiques and PR work in this one and definitely wouldn‘t mind reading it again. It has a sort of soothing effect that you can escape into on a quiet day.
I found myself ignoring my assignments to read this one 😂🤓

Cup of Coffee + Any Book= Happy Me
Just trying to squeeze in some reading time with all the studying that I have to do.
My quarantine days are somehow filled with more things to do than on a regular day. Being a perfectionist doesn‘t help either but through it all a good book is the way to find a moment to relax. 😂🤦🏽♀️
My Litsy fam here encourages me to get some reading done and I love it! So thank you!🤗♥️

This was a bit slow to get into but still an enjoyable story
A sweet love story set in a quintessentially English context. You find yourself really rooting for things to start going right!
The story itself was cute, but predictable. What really bothered me (and you might guess from previous posts on this book), was how misleading the blurb was. I was looking forward to reading a romance taking place primarily in France, but all I got was one chapter there. I think if this had been promoted differently, I would have liked this a bit more.

Great quick summer read! You can never go wrong with Katie Fforde!
