Though I didn‘t think this was as good as her debut, Whistling in the Dark (which I loved), this still had a lot of the attributes that has made Lesley Kagen one of my favorite lesser-known authors. It‘s a mystery of sorts, told from the point of view of a spunky, precocious 11-year-old. While I found some parts of it a little too unbelievable at times, it‘s still a good story, and once again, Kagen is an excellent narrator.
