Even though it‘s pretty brisk outside still, I‘m coming for a walk with Orlagh Cassidy and Euan Morton in my ears (he read The Chalk Man and it was great!) I‘m still bothered by this book cover - this is a contemporary story taking place in 2010, so the historical fiction overused cover with the woman and her back is a bothersome book cover design fail for me. 😜
Today's a writing day for me, but before I get started I'll post this for #marchintoreading. Lots of Shreve! The cover of Jennifer Steil's The Ambassador's Wife really doesn't do it justice. Makes it look like a romance but it's the story of an American woman kidnapped in the Middle East. Dramatic, harrowing. #thebacksofwomen
This is a fine read, but I highly recommend reading the author's memoir first --The Woman Who Fell from the Sky.
