pickThis book was a dark, disturbing and introspective look at the nature of good, evil, fate and redemption. The most unsettling aspect of this book was how much it did not say or do. Some of the worst things that happen in the book are only briefly observed in the periphery, are recalled after by characters or are manifested in the actions and behaviors of characters. Instead of seeing all the destruction, you feel its effects.

pickA well written meditation on the nature of good and evil. The story of a young man raised to cause destruction, and his attempt to reject his upbringing. I thought this was really interesting.
