#bookhaul mostly from Munro‘s, a couple from Russell Books as well. Almost all for other people this time, so that‘s good, right?

Happy Canadian Independent Bookstore Day! Munro's Books was founded by THAT Alice Munro and her husband in 1963 and moved to its current heritage (built 1909) location in 1984. It's a Victoria, BC institution and gorgeous to boot. When I seek the rare treat of buying a new book rather than my go-to of the library, this is where I come.
Lovely Sunday afternoon to visit Munro‘s Books, and, of course, Murchie‘s Tea and Coffee next door. Amazed that I walked out with just one book and one sticker for my thermos.
1) Tagged bookstore. I visit it every time I‘m in Victoria and always walk out with a book or two.
2) the Port Kells Branch of Surrey Libraries. I like it because I have been able to get to know the staff quite well over the years (haven‘t gone there a lot due to Covid restrictions).
3) I‘m grateful that I was able to spend most of Tuesday w/ family #wondrouswednesday
As usual I bought something at Munro's. This is what I got this time around. Bought the tote because I needed something to carry my books in.
