My choice for the #LittensDressedInBlood prompt Every Breath You Take. The story behind the writing and recording of the “nasty little song” (Sting‘s own words in quotes) is quite sad and dark, despite it being a huge hit. The tagged is quite dark and sad and features a trio of men not seeing eye to eye and still having to work together to protect someone they all love in their own way.

I love Anne Bishop‘s The Others series, so I‘m excited to finally read this. She just drops you into this elaborate world and I‘m having a tiny bit of trouble keeping track of everything, but I‘m enjoying the writing more and more as I progress.

I need some help finding an author who writes books like Anne Bishop‘s Black Jewel ones. I like dark romantic fantasy but some of the authors focus on the romance and let the plot dangle. Anyone have any suggestion? The photo is of my handsome boy Han Solo

So many female authors to choose from! I'm going with my fave dark fantasy author Anne Bishop. I love the characters she created in the Black Jewels and I've only heard great things about The Others (promised myself I will get to it this year, now that the series is done!). I could not find a favorite of Anne but she was inspired by The Black Stallion, Anne of Green Gables, Brother's Grimm and Bullfinch's Mythology.

Really anything by Anne Bishop is glorious, her The Others Series is amazing, but this epic fantasy trilogy is what made me a Bishop addict.

When people ask what my favorite book is, this is my answer (yes, I cheat by listing an omnibus!). Fascinating magic, strong characters, pure laugh-out-loud and sob-your-heart-out moments.
