I enjoyed reading this mystery for my local book club, but I don‘t really know why, since I found the main character so irritating! All in all, it was still entertaining!

The story follows a couple, Erin and Mark, who embark on a dream honeymoon but stumble upon a shocking discovery while scuba diving. There was too much left unfinished or explained. This was mediocre at best, the writing was all over the place, at times massive unnecessary detail that should have gone into explaining what happened- I would not recommend.
I wanted to be riveted, but I really wasn't. Barely held my attention.
Meh
I listened this on Audiobook from Libby. The author narrated it. I found it to be just meh. It didn't really keep my interest until about 80% thru, then it really picked up. I did figure out the ending about 85% into it. It's really slow, but does pickup toward the end.
🙂 Happy Reading 🙃

Great mystery/thriller on audio! I enjoyed listening to this one. I'd recommend to anyone wanting something fun to try on audio. Always enjoy those twists that come right at the end.
My dad, 87, has been pushing me to read this book. He wasn't wrong. It was refreshing to read an original thriller with well thought out twists and turns AND a satisfying ending. Pardon me, while I go call my dad.
I really enjoyed this #LetterS mystery and have read more Steadman since. Two thumbs up.

This book isn‘t about sharks (the main plot isn‘t anyway) but the pic is too crazy to not include 😂 A friend caught this while fishing in New Jersey (& tossed it back in after the picture.)
This book is better than reviews suggest - it was fast paced & popcorny even if the narrator is *painfully* naive. Like…scream at her level naive.
Enjoyed this thriller even though the MC drove me crazy. The author's narration was great; not surprised to learn afterwards she's an actress too.
I enjoyed this thriller, but thought it was a bit long and kinda repetitive. The MC, Erin, makes some really bad choices, but I liked her and rooted for her. It definitely kept my interest though!
#bookspinbingo
Have you ever wondered how long it takes to dig a grave?
#firstlinefridays Loving this one!! Not a likeable protagonist though. Many, many bad decisions she does make! 🤦🏾♀️
Just a few chapters to go!
Better than I expected with a bit of depth and lots of interesting characters! I kinda suspected what would happen, but it was still fun to see how it played out
Reading for a book club. I dunno. We'll see!!
This is a great mystery and “who done it”. I loved the main character Erin. I found this book to be a major page turner- it was horrifying to watch Erin‘s life unravel via a chance ocurrance…
3✨I was hoping for something more to be in the water. There is definitely edge of your seat thriller vibes, but I was expecting a different type of story. They only went in the water twice, and I was expecting the thrills to be more related to the water not the aftermath of what they found. Plus the fallout at the end left me pretty down.

What are you reading? 😊
This book was ok, not great. It was slightly predictable and some of the characters were just down right not needed. Also, I lost my seat to the cats when I got up to get a drink😂
While scuba diving in Bora Bora on their honeymoon, Mark and Erin find something in the water that might change their lives forever. #BoraBora
It was good but a little farfetched for my taste. I like when the story is a little more plausible.
This book was a real-page turner, but the ending left a lot to be desired. (Was absolutely 100% all-in until the final chapters). If you can overlook the finale, a solid read.
Okay so let's start by saying the intro to this book was waaay too long. I almost fell asleep a few times because it was that boring the lengthy. Then the "thrilling" part comes and it was the biggest let down ever. There is nothing thrilling about this book expect the maybe last 10 pages, and even that is subpar. I might have liked the ending more if the rest of the book didn't suck so bad. And it just kept repeating EVERYTHING. 1/5 stars
Don‘t quite understand one of the character‘s POV/motivation at the end, but this was good all the way through.
Escaping to the beach this weekend and I'm taking this book (and the hat) along with me! Have you read this one? Did you like it?
Surprised myself by picking up this thriller. A book o would used to have read but have gone off. It was nice to jump back in to an easy read thriller. 👍 Interesting plot line and suspense throughout.
So this opens up with a hide-the-body type burial and you know who it is that died. How it happened unfolds slowly. It‘s not a fast paced book but it moved along at a decent pace and the characters went through enough to keep things interesting. Overall, a good read to add to my list of completed books.
I read it because I needed to know the ending but it was so slow, although we know what happened to her husband I didn‘t see it happening in that way so the ending made up for the slow build in the story
My list of books in 2020 only got to 21, but this one was my favorite and then Verity. Here‘s to reading more in 2021!!!!
Best quote 🤓
I really wanted to like this book but I just couldn't get into it the way I expected. It had a good storyline and the characters were likable. Though in some portions it seemed like the author was trying too hard to make it all work. However, in the end all the loose pieces seem to fit. The ending makes it all worth it.
I would recommend this book for anyone who likes slow mysteries.
📖📚Happy Reading!📚📖
This book started out not too bad and continued on throughout keeping my interest but seriously that ending? I turned the page at what I thought was still a few more chapters and nope that was the end. Wtf was that? I equate this book to like being on a good date where you think you‘re really hitting it off but then the guy splits on you without any explanation...I feel ghosted!
I‘ve been really into mood reading this month, so I haven‘t been the best at knocking off my #BookSpinBingo picks. Oh well, maybe I‘ll do better next month. Anyways, here‘s the 3rd book I‘ve read for #BookSpinBingo. I really enjoyed it! 🖤

While scuba diving, Erin and Mark find something in the water: a bag full of money! Could this give them the life they‘ve dreamed of? But money does not grow from water, so why is this here? Who‘s money is it?
If you lost millions of dollars, wouldn‘t you go searching for it?
I definitely saw the ending coming from the start of the book, but I do appreciate how the author was able to explain and really developed her characters. Worth a read!

Wow, I liked this book so much more than I thought after reading other reviews!! My opinion kept changing but as I kept going and I‘m so glad. This is one of those mysteries that you think you figured out but then are left thinking, hmmm. Book 13 of 2020
It had many favorable reviews, but it just didn‘t work for me. As I struggled through until the end, there was just so much to dislike. The main characters were highly annoying and irritating, unnecessary details and information which detracted from the story, and the ending was lacking in so many ways. The one thing I did like was the authors good description of Bora Bora and its surrounding ocean, you could picture it as paradise.
The build up kept me reading even if suspense isn't my go-to genre. I think my mind would have played tricks on me if I had abandoned rather than finished and having answers. Now I left with "that was it?" The build up didn't match the lackluster ending. Oh well, can't get that time back. On to the next book in my stack.
Imagine finding $1,000,000 on your honeymoon-sounds like a dream, but for this couple it turns into a nightmare. This book really stressed me out, but inevitably I loved the torture!

Thank you for the #JoysOfJune #Readathon @Andrew65 ! I did not reach my goal of reading 3 books, but I finished 1 and started 2. We went camping & after being home for months I chose hiking over staying in the tent to read!

Today‘s #BoundTogetherJune prompt is Wild.
We‘ve been camping in the #wild for the past few days. Today we visited this lake, and even though the wind blew 1,000 mph I got this picture of my current read!

Hooray! @Andrew65 is helping us out with another #readathon!
My goal is to read 3 books! I have a feeling I can do 2, but I‘ll use my goal to push me!

There was plenty here to keep me wondering about this narrator and her situation. The book starts off with a startling revelation, and it continues down a reckless path until the last page. It‘s just what I needed to break a bit of a reading slump.
A shocking discovery on a honeymoon in paradise changes the lives of a picture-perfect couple...

There's a lot of really stupid and unrealistic aspects to this book that warrant the bad reviews, but it was fun.
