Hoping to get to these books soon, but I‘m such a mood reader, I may change my mind.

My 2022 #bookspin wrap up. Google form filled out and submitted. I nearly met my goal of reading 12/12 bookspin picks by reading 10/12. One book was a DNF and one I just never got to. Hope in 2023 I can hit 12/12! Thanks for hosting another great year @TheAromaofBooks !
Amazing, well researched follow up to the March trilogy. This takes place mostly from right after the Voting Rights Law was signed until when John Lewis was voted out of chairmanship of the SNCC in favor of Stokely Carmichael. There was incredible upheaval and disconnect among the groups working for civil rights, as well as the rise in the KKK and politicians working to suppress the black vote. Important read.

Last book of the year was, In the Midst of Winter, and first book of the year will be my January #bookspin pick, Run. I loved The March trilogy so I‘m really looking forward to Run.
My students and I were so excited when this newest John Lewis book became available! Graphic novel format is a gripping way to share history. Excellent back matter includes insights from the artists and authors. This was my November #DoubleSpin pick.

Looking forward to another year of this fun challenge. I love how this challenge helps me clear some of my tbr and helps me with decision making. Sometimes I get so overwhelmed picking from my own books.
October was a great reading month for me: read 6 books and liked them all! Run was definitely my favorite
I‘m ready for November with my #BookSpinBINGO list! Lately, I‘ve only had short bits of time to read, so I went with novels/memoirs in verse, graphic novels, and a couple of illustrated books this month.
