It's been quite a few years since I've read this quirky southern fiction title but I loved it and the protagonist Peejoe. The book takes place during one summer in the 1960's and Peejoe experiences first hand the prejudices of his town and the civil rights movement.
My husband, a huge Alabama fan just, announced “ROLL TIDE! ROLL TIDE! ROLL TIDE!” to the entire block. It‘s after midnight 💤. We live in Georgia, so I‘m gonna fly under the radar when I leave for work. Anyway, I highly recommend Crazy in Alabama and not just because The Tide Pulled it Off! To my UGA #Littens, Love ya, mean it.
Just finished this for #readingroadtrip today! Really enjoyed this book! It was quirky, funny, dark and sad.
Alabama Book Festival is Saturday in Montgomery. Any Littens going? We can do a Littenup. Most of the authors I want to see are in the big tent. That is where I will be most of the day. 😂
"It's kind of funny to be lost in something you designed yourself, isn't it?"
Probably the most poignant thing I'll hear today.
Just discovered this! I know - we need another podcast like a hole in the head 😂 But it's from the Serial folks. Plus, Alabama 🐘
We are pretty crazy here - mostly in a good way! 🙃 #headlesscovers #photoadaynov16. @RealLifeReading @Leelee08 @sweetTlibrarian
