I just discovered Mary Higgins Clark and I love her! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
I really enjoyed this one. I was up until 3am reading and read the rest when I woke up. It‘s been awhile since a book has kept me up late. I missed that feeling. I just ordered a few more of her books and I can‘t wait to get started on them!
Woke up last night to see this sad news. Mary Higgins Clark is the author who made me fall in love with reading. I remember sitting in the break room while in college reading her books between classes because I couldn‘t wait to find out what happened next in her books. She will be truly missed.
This has been sitting on my shelf. Hearing about her passing today made me pick it up. Five pages in and I didn‘t even want to put it down to write this post! Why did I hold out for so long?? Mary Higgins Clark, I am excited to read more of your novels. Rest in paradise.
It has been a long time since I have read anything by Mary Higgins Clark and this one was a struggle. Too many red herrings made it just seem lazy writing by the end.
TW - child abuse, kidnapping
This #audiobook was definitely thrilling and kept me guessing, but listening to something like 8 hours of a child being in mortal peril is hard. Also, I think that 1/3 of the book (descriptions, secondary characters, etc) could have been cut, which would have made the narrative tighter.
This audiobook my mom picked out for our thanksgiving travels sounds like quite the thriller!
I‘ve been absent for another few weeks 😩 School and life in general have been crazy at the start of the new year. I only read one book in January! This is another one for my middle grades book club. It was suggested by a student. I‘m not exactly a fan of child kidnapping/murder stories, so I‘m hoping this is suspenseful enough to get me to finish it quickly.
