Even casual readers know summer season is a relaxing day on the sand with a swoon-worthy romance. SEA SWEPT by Nora Roberts is that hot beach read to make it a relaxing escape, great first book to the series Chesapeake Bay.

I added this to my list for December because I needed a story where the MC was adopted. This is a bout a family of adopted brothers who have to step up and take care of the youngest when the father dies unexpectedly. Of course, with Nora Roberts there is romance and sexiness, but she is an author that I can tolerate with her approach to this and the conflicts of romance that always pop up in these types of books.

Just a little old school beachy Nora Roberts palette cleanser! I know I've read this one before but it's been long enough that the details were a little fuzzy. Not one of my favorites of hers, but I do so love the Quinn brothers!
1. Currently reading tagged and listening to Cut and Run by Ben Acker
2. Baking
3. The Priory of the Orange Tree by Samantha Shannon

A little light reading!
1. The tagged book, #1 in the Chesapeake Bay series (but really, anything by Nora Roberts, Judith McNaught, or Laura Kinsale)
2. Horrible Bosses, The Hangover, or Mystery Men—if they‘re on, I‘m watching!! 😁
3. There‘s so many foods to feel guilty about! Donuts, nachos, cake, chips, chocolate. . . the list is endless (and I love them all)!

A good read. Good characters right from the start. A typical easy read from Nora Roberts. Occasionally a quick read is what I need. I look forward to the remaining books in this series.
You probably can't tell, but this books pages along the edges are yellowed.

Typical boy meets girl, boy falls in love with girl, intertwined with a heartfelt do-good story. and I loved every minute of it.
"She'd always believed that if she ever experienced love, she would be aware of every stage of it."
I don't think love is ever quite that simple.
Attempting to read at the beach is obnoxiously difficult on my iPad. I need a kindle paperwhite like yesterday ☀️🌴🌊
My first Nora Roberts. 30 pages in and I'm happily intrigued, however I don't recommend starting it at 1am when you have to get up the next morning 🙄🙈
