Welcome to Litsy!

The story starts with a major earthquake and tsunami. Elizabeth came back to her hometown to spend time with her father convicted of her mother‘s murder. Yet her ex begins to wonder if the father was a murderer or if she was the 1st victim of a serial killer. Interesting characters and a little romance are included.

The book started out a little hard to follow with all of the changes. But the book turned out good and had me changing my mind on “ who done it” looking forward to reading the next book in the series.

For me, this book was not as fantastic as Because I'm Watching (book #3 in the series; this was book #1). Too many POV changes in the first couple hundred pages, and from too many people, gave it a soap opera-like vibe and kept me from really engaging with the story.

But it was a good story. I enjoyed it. I'll give it four stars and will write my full review tomorrow (or sometime this coming week, more likely).

I meant to start this book today (I got it in today's mail), but it's now so close to midnight - tomorrow - that I think I'm going to go to bed instead. So, no books read today.

2nd used bookstore trip in two days. Decided I HAD to find some historical romances by Lisa Kleypas thanks to a recommendation from @EloisaJames :) Of course then I couldn't leave without bringing these home as well. Good thing I didn't resolve not to buy books in 2017! LOL!

Gave this romantic suspense novel 100 pages, but the narrative was just too fractured for me. I couldn't connect with any of the characters, so it's time to move on!

Great suspense and great romance. I was questioning who the killer was until the end.
