The poem Hello and GoodBye, contains sensory images of smell. This poem talks about the rain, I could smell and touch the rain as they were talking about it. Also this poem contains sound. I could hear the rain and birds as the rain faded away.

I would read this in my classroom because I think that the students can connect to the meaning of the poem.

This P book is SUCH a great way to get kids excited about poetry. The poems incorporate animals, people, time, opposites and childhood fun! I absolutely plan on doing a RA with my students in the future because of the humor and school subjects involved! This book is a Gold Award Winner for National Parenting Publications Awards (NAPPA). #LAE3414sp19

karamank @melindamcmullen84 This book looks so much fun! I‘m sure elementary schoolers would love it! Thank you for sharing ☺️ 6y
melindamcmullen84 As much as I enjoyed this book, it was very hard to find lesson ideas on the Internet. The author‘s website is full of great material and I will use this site https://www.maryannhoberman.com/index.html later on, to find out more about other books and poems she‘s written. 6y
melindamcmullen84 UDL 9.3 (developing self assessment and reflection) could be used for an after RA assignment/reflection. ESOL 13 and 5 (using preview/review & teaching vocabulary that supports key concepts) would be necessary so the students understand the wording. 6y
LaGasseSam1996 This book sounds like a fun way to introduce poetry to students. Just the title had me chuckling I‘m sure students would love it 6y

I loved the quote “bundle up from toe to ear”
although it‘s so simple and random, it evoked memories and emotion from me and my childhood of playing outside in the cold with my friends!
