The Magic of Tiny Business
The Magic of Tiny Business: You Dont Have to Go Big to Make a Great Living | Sharon Rowe
2 posts | 3 read
Tiny isn't a sizeit's a state of mind Too many of us feel trapped by work that keeps us from living our purpose. We fantasize about starting our own business, yet we're warned against falling into debt, working eighty hours a week, and coping with the pressure to grow. Eco-Bags Products founder Sharon Rowe says there's another way: go tiny. Like a tiny house, a tiny business is built on maintaining a laser focus on what is essential by living an intentional life. As an entrepreneur and mother, Rowe is most concerned with putting family first, maintaining financial security, and doing something that makes an impact in the world. Using the success story of Eco-Bags Products, Rowe distills the step-by-step process of building a profitable, right-scaled, sustainable venture that doesn't compromise your values. She shows you how to test your concept, manage your money and priorities, and more, while staying true to the tiny ethos.

I've been contemplating starting my business for over 4 years! I started one, 9 years ago...failed miserably! I'm hopeful this book will help me to get back in the game. Do you run your own business? Have you dreamed of owning a business? Which books have helped you? Please do share your tips 🙏🏼

iread2much I have wanted to start my own business but I have been very scared too. I do know that my university library will be offering business start up assistance starting next year, so I might go to some of their appointments to learn more about it 6y
Gezemice My husband started two and failed miserably. Now he is involved in a startup but others front the money... much better. 6y

jenreads7 I just bought this book on sale for Kindle (US). Best wishes on your business! 6y
RinaBrahmbhattBarot @jenniferajanes thank you! How are you finding it? Are you planning to start business too? Let's connect and share what we learn from this book? 6y
jenreads7 @MyBookSwapClub I haven‘t started it yet. I‘m still digging out after a move! I am already an independent contractor/freelancer. I do have some ideas of things I would like to do. Like you, I let fear hold me back. Would love to discuss! What‘s the best way to do that? Hashtag? 6y
RinaBrahmbhattBarot @jenniferajanes we can use hashtag - I've only read few pages, as you read the book - there are reflection exercises, I am taking it slow! We can also discuss our ideas and support each other via email/what's app - my email is - mybookswapclub@gmail.com 6y
jenreads7 I will definitely take it slow too! Sounds good. 6y
