Echo Ridge is a small town that Ellery and her brother Ezra, are both sent to live in. They share their home with their estranged grandmother. The town is only famous for one thing - teenage girls going missing or found dead.
Homecoming at high school is a deadly season, another girl goes missing so Ellery starts digging. Not into just the missing girls past but her own mothers too. Fast paced, full of details and definitely mysterious. 4🌟
These are always good and easy reads, but this has been my least fave so far

But my favorite secrets are the lovely surprises I wrap as Christmas gifts for family and friends ❤️
Loving these. Ty Karen McManus for writing these mysteries.
Good read! Lots of twists and turns which kept my attention throughout.
I found Karen McManus through one of us is lying and really enjoyed her writing. This book was just as good, really enjoyed the story.
Excited to put together the #BookSpinBingo card for November! Im finishing up the tagged book and am hopeful that the fall-winter weather will make for a good reading month 🤞🏻
Wow! Wow! Wow! Amazing book, so much better than I thought it would be and the quickest i‘ve read a book in a long time 📖
Wow!! What an ending! Doesn‘t give away too much but still a spoiler...
Didn‘t quite finish it, but hopefully today will be the day! Chapter 31, here I come...
Chapter 26 already! I can‘t remember the last time I read a book this quick. Hoping to finish it today...
‘Tell me and I forget, Teach me and I may remember, Involve me and I learn‘ Mr Bowman‘s grave.
Starting a new book today! Had it since December but have been reading other books. Let‘s hope it‘s good 🤞#murdermystery #teen
I enjoyed reading this book. It wasn‘t exactly a nail biter, but it kept my attention. A solid mystery with some twists and turns.
Karen M. McManus‘s standalone YA crime mystery is an entertaining page turner with plenty of twists and red herrings and I liked the dual narration from Ellery and Malcolm as it helped maintain pace. However, I guessed who dunnit far too early and while there‘s an ending to the book, it isn‘t a wholly satisfying resolution, not least because the killer‘s motives are so under drawn while the fall out from the reveal is rather glossed over.
This is the second book of Karen McManus that I have read, and have enjoyed! Again it mixes two of my favorite genres crime and teen drama. Kept me reading to find out what happened and how it was all connected.
Im being honest here, the first time I read this book, I thought to myself: umm, it's not as good as her first book, is it, and I'd assume a lot of people had thought the way I did. but after reading it over again, I found this book interesting: about 20 years passed in this book, therefore lack of details is the last thing this book has. As you pay attention to every sentence and read it thoroughly, you can see the whole picture thought the book.
This book was fine, for me- a slow reader- it was a quick read and quite entertaining. However, I didn‘t find the characters anywhere near as well rounded as One of Us is Lying or the story as intriguing. Still, I managed to actually read this book when my tired brain has been struggling to read anything so it must be doing something right!
This was a good read, althought I liked her first one better. I liked the twins in the story and other characters too. #books
A pretty good and interesting book/storyline. 5/5
Not a bad YA as YA's go, certainly one I'm sure many 13-15 year olds would enjoy. I teach this age group and therefore read these kind of texts sometimes, not literature but good enough.
This one is okay, but I don‘t think it‘s as good as ‘One of Us is Lying‘. Maybe I read too many of this type of book, but I could see the twists coming. A quick, entertaining read but a tad predictable. 3.5🌟
Had a lovely weekend away camping. Didn't get much reading time in but I did finish this. It was ok nothing special and not as good as her previous book.
⭐⭐⭐
This was really good!! A fast pace, extra secrets and a brilliant final line.
I so loved this book. Great storyline and characters with a massive twist at the end. This is now one of my favourite authors. Read this book!
So enjoying this. Once again amazing story- love this author so much 👸🏼🤓
Book smell is so underrated and unappreciated. Love it so much 😍🤓📚
#younevercantell a secret!
A selection of my kindle books with 'secret' in the title for #maymoviemagic! There were a lot more with the title beginning with 'secret', but I wanted a selection!

When checking categories for book genres I enjoy, I haven‘t marked YA. Maybe I should. I‘ve read or audio‘d these books in the last year and liked each one.
This was really enjoyable, but I wasn‘t as invested in the mystery as I was in the author‘s previous book. I did love the characters and the romance, overall it was still great 😁
Goodreads 21/52
I find this murder mystery very enjoyable and absorbing. Well-paced, twisty story and with realistic characters I can care about. The teenage relationship was sweet and did not make me roll my eyes. A strong follow up to the author‘s debut, One Of Us Is Lying (though this is not a series) in fact I liked this more, and the ending gave me a surprising gasp. I look forward to read her next book (hurry up)👍👍👍👍
I flew through this one in a couple of hours. This one, after a bit of a slow start, is just as good as her first book, One Of Us Is Lying. Twins Ellery & Ezra Corcoran move to their mother‘s hometown after she‘s put in rehab. Now living with their nana, Ellery becomes obsessed with the murders of 2 local girls, 15yrs apart. Then another girl goes missing. My #LitsyAtoZ2019 #LetterT & #Pop19 #PopSugarReadingChallenge2019 #BookToldFromMultiplePOVs
Honestly hands down the best book in my collection so far. I‘m easily pleased when it comes to murder, cover ups and romance and this book has it all. Ellery and Malcom are endgame. The only extra detail I thought wasn‘t needed was Ezra. He was the only character that didn‘t really grow on me. Great book 5/5 stars would recommend! x
Hopefully this is as good as One Of Us is Lying 📖
