Cat and Nat's Mom Truths
Cat and Nat's Mom Truths: Embarrassing Stories and Brutally Honest Advice on the Extremely Real Struggle of Motherhood | Catherine Belknap, Natalie Telfer
8 posts | 6 read | 7 to read
Hilarious best friends Cat and Nat created a massive online community of moms by sharing their ultra-real and just a bit R-rated dispatches from the mom trenches. From what not to eat a few days after giving birth (chicken wings) to the most effective ways to dodge post-partum sex, Cat & Nats Mom Truths shares everything no one will tell you about having kids. Mixing memoir, humor, and advice, Cat and Nat tell never-before-told stories about the stress, guilt, joy, and laundry (oh the laundry!) of being a mom in their first book. With seven kids between them and millions of fans on social media, they get real about the parts of parenting that somehow dont make the Instagram feed. Sharing their outrageous humor, fearless myth-busting, and genuine comfort on every page, they walk you from pregnancy to the toddler years and beyond. And they dole out ridiculously honest advice, like what you think you need at the hospital when you have your first baby (lip gloss) versus what you actually need (hemorrhoid pillow), and how worried you should really be about germs (less than you are). Fearless crusaders against the perfection myth and all the gluten-free, sugar-free baking it entails, Cat and Nat assure you that youre already doing a great job, making this an essential companion for moms everywhere.

An amazing book. Shortly after I started reading it, I was in love with it. This book made me laugh when I needed the most. I was reading it also during my daily walks with the baby and sometimes I could not help but laugh (when we were outside). I would recommend this to all the new mothers who are having a difficult time adjusting to motherhood.

SugarDice Wow! That's awesome 2y

I listened to this at the exact moment I needed it most. The past month or two, stresses and anxiety have been getting the better of me, and the mom guilt has been riding high. This book was the perfect reminder that I'm not alone and that I don't have to be perfect. It left me feeling optimistic and more confident than I've felt in weeks. I may need to get a hard copy that I can mark up and use when I need a pick me up.

Avanders 🤗🤗 (hugs) Being a mom is riggedy-rough some days!! ♥️ 5y

I had well laid plans for my first read of 2019, until I started this ebook in the bath last night. Before I knew it, I was 50% through.

I first saw Cat&Nat‘s videos on FB and I instantly could relate to them. They tell it like it is. This book had me snorting in laughter. I preferred the funny stories and asides they had to share, but overall it was a great way to kick off 2019 because it reminded me what truly matters. #netgalley #booked2019
