I adored this book. Things she said really hit home. I may have cried more than once. Dogs are really special creatures. I highly recommend this one.

I have been binging this show right now. It makes me miss vet med sooo much. I am pretty excited to start this one next. I am sure i will cry, kids man making you squishy.
This one reads like a series of individual short stories that are snapshots in the authors life. Although the writing was repetitive at times, I enjoyed the stories of the rescue dogs and how they changed Tia's life.
I've never seen her show (Pitbulls and Parolees) and now I need to check it out!
My only big complaint is that there were no pictures.of the dogs!
4✨ This memoir is set up in a scattered timeline. The author labels each chapter with the name of one of her dogs that impacted, uplifted, and gave new perspective to a part of her life. Some of the dogs overlapped so we saw a timeline again. I really liked this format and the amazing stories she selected. Worth the read if you love dogs or the show they had about them.
My new rooster is so handsome! My other two were getting too aggressive. He wouldn‘t stop moving for a picture. Spending time outside with a nice breeze for once in the crazy hot monsoon season. 🥵🔥😌
I finished my book, but I didn‘t reach my #AnyWayYouReadathon goal. That‘s ok. I loved finishing up the short stories about Tia‘s & some of her kids‘ favorite dogs. Some of the stories I already knew from the show, but she added more details so each time there was still something new. Definitely recommend for fans of the show & dog lovers.

SO MUCH CRYING.
This is a quick read. It's a kind of a love letter to the dogs Tia and her family have rescued over the years and the ones who have saved them in return. A few times it got a bit repetitive but that's okay because DOGS. It was really cool learning about how Tia got started in rescue and all the amazing opportunities she has had to advocate for Pit Bulls, as well as her and her pups experience in the entertainment industry.
Tia focuses mainly on the dogs that made the biggest impacts on the lives of her and her family. I laughed and I cried. The homeless animals have been so fortunate to have Villalobos taking care of them. I appreciate all the education and work that Tia and Villalobos has done. This is a great book if you want to learn how Tia got started in rescue and some big adventures she has had with these dogs.
I‘d never heard of Tia Torres or her tv show Pit Bulls and Parolees before listening to this #audiobook. The author narrates her own work & her larger-than-life personality comes through with as much power as her hyperbolic style. I call this a pick with reservations; it‘s for readers interested in people with strong passions, and, of course, dogs—and don‘t mind hearing animals described in anthropomorphic terms.
While most young girls my age were begging to get their ears pierced, I wanted a set of piercing yellow eyes just like the wolves of Alaska had.

I was finally able to sit down and read and finish a whole book today, life has been a time and I almost forgot how much I enjoy reading a good book, I really need to start finding more time in my life for reading 📚
(I also have the best reading companions) 🐶🐰❤️
my day = ❄️🐶🐰☕️📚
just picked this up today, can‘t wait to read it 🙂🐶📚
First #bookmail of 2019! Technically I purchased this in 2018 as it was a pre-order so my (unofficial) book buying ban is still intact.
I have no idea what type of writer Torres is, but Pit Bulls and Parolees is one of our absolute FAVORITE shows. I truly believe that she, her family, and all of the staff and volunteers at Villalobos Rescue Center are superheroes.
I have loved this show from the very beginning from when it first came out and I just found out she wrote a book and it has now gone to the top of my TBR list! 🐶❤️📚
