I'm excited to read this one!
Please indulge me - this post has nothing to do with books but every time I walk by this cafe at Shimokitazawa in Tokyo I think of a certain Litten so many of us adore... ❤❤

I am not an outdoorsy person, and while I do enjoy having easy access to some amazing NYC parks, I don't do a lot of #outsidereading. When I do, it's generally on the deck at my parents' house in the suburbs. They have an absolutely lovely backyard. #somethingforsept #septphotochallenge
North Jersey Litsy peeps-what's your favorite local indie? I know about Word in Jersey City. Other faves?
Book mail! It came! 📬 I can't wait to dig into this novel about emotional trauma. Love Tin House Books. Thank you so much for mailing it to me Yanira! You're one of the best reasons that Litsy rocks! 💚
Ahh exciting. @BookishFeminist it's getting shipped!
It should be illegal for a book to take 200 pages to capture the reader, but this one did. However, after the 200 pages, I could not stop. It really became lyrical and beautiful and painful and mysterious. The connections are so well written. I didn't need all the finance talk which overpowered it.
So exciting to know that some of you do lunch time reading too. I always take my full break, so that I can get my reading in. I'm a loner, so it works out!
I'm seeing where this goes ...
Afternoon eating and reading. 🤘🏼
Have you read this one @Ebooksandcooks?
Slow going at first, unexpected connections, enough mystery to propel it and make it enjoyable but not over the top exceptional.
