My baby's first #LGBTQ book! And by a local Vancouver Island author no less. This board book is just beautiful. Lovely rhyming text about love, acceptance, opportunity, affection, and more centred on the meaning of the colours of the Pride flag. There are photos of racially diverse babies/toddlers and queer couples with kids. The last page introduces the idea of the Pride parade. I can't wait to take my kid to Pride!!

Oh my wow, I have quite a backlog—I mean, roundup 🤠—of book reviews from the past couple of months to share! I‘m starting with my most recent reads first, a few YA novels that I really enjoyed during Pride Month. 🏳️‍🌈 Here goes!

It‘s PRIDE month #LitsyATXReadersSociety! I hope you‘ve all chosen your books for June and that you‘ve been enjoying them. ❤️🧡💛💚💙💜

It sounds like Google Meet worked well for the May meeting, so we‘ll go with that again. Please let me know here or in Slack if you‘ll be joining so I can email you the link. See you all soon!

(Now that we‘re meeting online we sometimes have room for out of Austin friends. Let me know if you‘re interested!)

My heart cannot take the adorableness. ❤️🧡💛💚💙💜 This is sweet and inclusive and even better, it is a legit for babies board book - nit something really written for adults. Little ones will learn colors from the bright, fun pages, and they will see happy images of all kinds of people. A billion stars.

emtobiasz I like this one, but I wish the included photographs did a better job of highlighting the colors individually. Still, the photos are beautiful and the language is great. 5y

So proud to live in a city that celebrates people for who they are, not who they love. Happy Pride everyone! #worldpride #nyc

We joined my Friends Jerry and Dan for the Pride Picnic. I shared by Wavy Lays (and it does hurt) and we are having a open and try party of the fun snacks that @Cinfhen sent from Israel. Dan is loving the chocolate bugles.

Cinfhen Ha!! Chocolate bugles exactly what I would call them!! ❤️🧡💛💚💙💜 6y

5⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

A simply wonderful poem about love. Great photos, and even an explanation of the pride flag at the end.
