This is book 4 in this series and I'm still enjoying following Wesley through his combined worlds of archaeology and detective work. The historical part of this story involved a skeleton that Wesley thinks might be a Viking.
Another entertaining easy read, and I'm looking forward to the next one.

This is a great series but start with book 1.
pickDS Peterson, amateur archaeologist, is intrigued that a Viking corpse may be buried at a farm site. He has an urgent crime to solve, the disappearance of a Danish tourist. Gerry Heffernan believes the Dane‘s disappearance is linked to brutal robberies. I loved the tie in of the historical Viking story with the present. Murderer was a surprise with lots of suspects. Looking forward to the next book. Recommended.

This is a good murder mystery series, that always has a strong historical / archaeological series. Wesley Peterson is a great character.
pickAdded humour is a bonus. Wesley is up for promotion, whuch is just as well because Gerry sometimes acts like Wesley is the senior officer rather than himself.
