Finally!
I've been no. 1 in the waiting list for this e book for weeks! It arrived in my app last night. 🤩😍
so-soThis is a lightweight, easy reading historical fiction with ghosts and a smidge of romance that requires a huge suspension of disbelief - I eyerolled more than once. It veers more towards the cheesy rather than the genuinely spooky but the historical storyline is absorbing and the present day story is mostly engaging as well. Ending was rubbish though - wanted those ends satisfyingly tied up & got nowt much which was disappointing.
Currently enjoying this one. With thanks to #netgalley for this book.
bailedWell I said I was waiting for a dud didn't I? Just didn't do it for me this one. Shame because I loved Sleeper's Castle. I wasn't invested and it just didn't hold my attention. Bailed half way through
I'm waiting for a dud! I've had such a run of fabulous books I'm sure I must be due a fair to middling read. I hope Barbara isn't going to let me down!

pickAnother great read from Erskine 👍🏻It‘s the usual format of ghosts/travel over time etc with a good historical background - based on the authors own family this time. Enjoyed just reading it all afternoon.
