so-soIt‘s still my least favorite of the series. Depressing, angsty. I have been buying all of these new illustrated editions for new and exciting visuals, but it felt like there were barely any illustrations in here. A lot of colored and textured backing to the pages that make it difficult to read and hardly any pictures. It makes it frustrating at how difficult it is to wield the book while reading without much to show for it.

Not feeling my best tonight, so I‘m curled up early with a comfort read. I‘m wanting to re-read the illustrateds anyway since OOF illustrated comes out 10/11.

So, despite my book haul last Friday, it seems I can‘t walk into a simple Target store without coming out with a book or two. Or three. However, I‘m definitely happy to pick up the first two Harry Potter Illustrated books!
I think I‘ll have to find a special place for them when I‘m done reading them, they‘re too long for my bookcases.

The time has come for my kids to know the magical world of Harry Potter. I decided to get the illustrated edition to help hold my 6 year old‘s attention and, oh my stars, it is just so beautiful! I can‘t wait to start it with them! 🧙♂️
