Reggie @Centique I‘m ok. Starting to feel like that guy in a ship after Earth has become inhabitable. And he‘s the lone survivor. I just need the A.i. Who projects a hologram of the guy I loved so I can be happy. But then the A. I. Gets jealous and kills us both. Lol I think that‘s an Outer Limits episode. Anyways, good but my reading mojo hasn‘t come back and I actually read this book on Saturday, loved it, and could care less to post a review about it. 5y

Centique @Reggie aw man why did the AI have to go loose cannon like that? š‚š‚ Yeah I know what you mean. The vibe here is a little more Gilead. No weird sex stuff (yet) š³ but you get the feeling people are watching from the windows checking on whether you‘re following the rules. Which I am - it‘s just a weird ass feeling. 5y

Centique @Reggie the teenager is happy as a pig in mud. š‚š‚ Normally on school holidays half her friends go overseas and she has minimal contact. Now they‘re all stuck at home and spend all day together online. Also some boys are paying her attention - nice attention she assures me. They‘re playing on a shared Minecraft world where they build gifts for each other. āŗļø¸š’• 5y

Centique @Reggie The talker has been fully engaged for two days in making slo mo videos of things he shoots with his Nerf gun. So my brain is a bit calmer š‚ he is currently outside trying to catch a preying mantis in a jar as part of his proscribed outdoors time. 5y

Centique So just trying to remain positive here. Doing my best to imagine some positive outcomes. Scientists and tech inventors doing wonderful stuff, environmental benefits, people taking some time to think and make healthy life choices. But of course I‘m also watching the news and talking to friends who‘ve lost jobs and empathising with everyone too. 5y

Reggie @readordierachel Hi, Rachel! How are you and the munchkin doing? Hope ya‘ll are doing well. Today I went to go get groceries with a face mask and gloves on and totally felt like the cover of 28 Weeks Later. It feels surreal. 5y

Going to the shops makes me think of that novel Severance and how she was posting videos of her empty city online š³š³ Don‘t worry about the reading - tell us if you watch anything good or eat anything yummy or play a great board game - keen to hear Reggie reviews of anything! š’•šš™¸š 5y

Reggie @Centique it the worst. Especially when I see whole families going. Can‘t one person do the shopping? I will say this, our Walmart has started making people stand in a line outside, with marks six ft away from each other because they‘re limiting the amount of people in the store at one time and also a lot of other people had masks and gloves so that was a positive. I think about Severance but I think about the Juicy Couture person and the little 5y

Reggie girl behind the curtain. FU Bob!!! Lol last night I fell asleep to Friday the 13th Part 6 and it is not the type of movie to let you stay asleep with that music. So I was up and the movie ended (3a.m.-ish) but the these dogs in our neighborhood started barking and wouldn‘t stop. And it felt like right out of a movie. I totally wanted to open the door and say Who‘s out there!! Lol but I didn‘t. How are you Paula? And the kiddos? And dad? 5y

Centique @Reggie we‘re all good thanks Reggie although the 9yo is bored bored bored. The rules here are really clear and well enforced - like only one person doing the shopping unless you‘re a solo parent with littlies - although it‘s hard to keep 2m apart once you‘re inside a supermkt. We have the lines outside with big gaps too. I prefer staying inside and pretending the world isn‘t so weird! 5y

Centique @Reggie lol about falling asleep to Friday the 13th. I would be a quivering wreck! PS if you want to watch the opposite of that, there‘s a Netflix YA romance called Five Feet Apart about two teens with cystic fibrosis, one has a virus as well, so they‘re not allowed to get close to each other. I watched it before C19 and now I keep thinking about that too. Obv following in the footsteps of Fault In Our Stars but pretty good š�° 5y

readordierachel It does feel surreal! I wore a bandana to the grocery store and felt like a bank robber, but no one batted an eye. New normal. Glad you're doing OK. We are too. Getting by like everyone else. Entertaining a 3 yo is exhausting š… 5y

Suet624 @Reggie I do still Facetime with the kids, but Gracie really gets frustrated because she wants to hug me. I saw her on the street and she started to run to me and her mom had to grab her. Gracie was so sad. I think in a week or two I'm going to suggest I start hanging with her again. We are a fairly closed unit and I think it would be safe. We'll see. 5y

ValerieAndBooks How are you Reggie? Yes I also feel we‘re in a surreal world right now. Reading is pretty much out the window these days. I‘ve been making face masks ā€” for family and to donate. Helps me feel a little better. I was at Walgreens last week because we were seriously low on TP but the cashier told me and others that more was arriving within half an hour. We were all circling the store like zombies waiting for it to arrive!! So weird. Hugs Reggie š’–! 5y
