Sky Castle, by M. C. Escher (1928)
Illustrations like this only make the matter being presented more intriguing

This has been on my reading list for a long time now, finally reading it.

Math is cool, of course. 💁‍♀️

I'm going to make an attempt to read this monstrous book. ATTEMPT. Slowly. 🐢

#thisremindsmeof 🧠 On my TBR for years , not sure if I am ready for the mental gymnastics involved should I tackle it. Remember when it was hugely popular, but did they read it or leave it out so people would think they are reading it!?🤨

JoeStalksBeck I freakin love this book! I love I‘m A Strange Loop too! 7y
Leftcoastzen @JoeStalksBeck gotta drum up my courage and give it a try.🙂 7y

I am again struck by thoughts of coincidence and serendipity while winding skeins and reading about strange loops in Gödel, Escher, Bach. #knittingwhilereading #yarn

I was very excited to find this reference to knitting pattern while knitting while reading about strange loops while knitting...

SheilaChew Nice! What are you knitting? 7y
well.read.panda @SheilaChew it's a piece for a yarnbombing installation I'm helping with. It'll have some letters sewn on to it and then be attached to a fence as part of a larger statement about LGBT rights and exclusion here in Singapore! 7y

SheilaChew So cool! There is a statue by my house that I've always wanted to yarn bomb! Last year a group of knitters yarn bombed the library. I loved it! 7y
well.read.panda @SheilaChew thanks!! 😁 7y

This has been on my TBR for YEARS. It sounds fascinating. But it's 800+ pages and I'm having a hard time making such a big time commitment! #artificialintelligence #aprilbookshowers

Reading this beast. It's a little too mind-blowing paragraph by paragraph to take in a page or two at a time.

Text only? But what is text? And what is not text? Without light and shadow you could not read the text. So, I'm counting this as a #textonlycover for #booktober.

Soubhiville Very cool! 8y

Read this about 40 years ago and it still leaves a great impression on me and my interests in art, science and math.

Jabberwocky in three languages, as if to ask me if I'm impressed yet.
