Mehso-so

Not a favorite for me. I had my initial suspicions about Abby, they were wrong but not too far off. I guess I just can‘t appreciate how unaccepting the “church” Becca belonged to was, even though it was more her mother‘s disapproval that stemmed from her religious upbringing more-so than the actual church. The ending was abrupt, the last two minutes were fast and seemed to just want to tie up all the loose ends at once. Book #56 in 2021

Pickpick

I started this one because it was free with Amazon Kindle Unlimited. Wasn‘t expecting much. However, this was a beautiful story about family, identity, and love. It may be about a certain church or religion but it is relatable to everyone. I found myself identifying with nearly every character in some way or another. One of the most surprisingly good reads I‘ve found

This book had the potential to do something more in the end to tie everything together and it simply fell short of that. I loved the story, the characters, I just wish it could've pulled together better towards the end.

Catching up on what's happening with Becca while my son gets to build a cool new rock collection. It's a perfect Friday afternoon.

KaraWines That is a perfect Friday afternoon! What are you reading. 6y
nichollinlove And Then You Loved Me by Inglath Cooper. It was an Amazon impulse buy. We'll see if it holds to it's reviews. Though, I've honestly never met a book I didn't enjoy in atleast some aspect. 6y

She understood then in a way she never had before what it meant to find the one against whom all others would forever be judged. The one for whom there would be no comparison.

There‘s living. And there‘s living in the past. I just really want to live. What good would it do me to spend my time dwelling on something I can‘t change?

At some point, doesn‘t it have to become about our own choices? Aren‘t we ultimately responsible for what we decide to be?

great story of love, forgiveness, inclusivity, and breaking free of what‘s “right” or traditional. Highly recommend, but definitely not for those looking for an easy light-hearted read!

I bawled my eyes out at the laundromat over this one. It just hit me in all the feels. The lady who works there was so concerned! I felt bad that I made her worry. Needless to say, I am highly recommending this book!
