It's an interesting book, especially when in possession of just a touch more information than Joy provides (i.e., particular names). It's easy to see how someone could get swept up in the situation, and how a person's brain might make excuses for any red flags along the way. It's not earth shatteeing, but it's interesting. #56-2024

Why do I keep reading these? The same type of battle scenes, same sex scenes over and over, the use of the word “mate” hundreds of times, and this just feels like nothing new is happening that needs this book to be 700 pages.Girl gets herself in trouble, she‘s rescued by mythical creatures, the boy creatures fight over her, she finds herself, she fights, everyone fights, ooh magic and wings and lots of graphic unoriginal sex.The end.Book #56 in2024

This is #56 of this series. Written in 2023. It was good, but it was centered on the case I stead of the main characters. And I kind of figured it out about 2/3 of the book. I did get two bingo spots in February and June #ISpyBingo #SeriesLove24 #ReadAway24 @Clwojick @TheAromaofBooks @Andrew65 @TheSpineView @DieAReader @GHABI4ROSES

TheAromaofBooks Woohoo!! It will be years before I get to this point in the series 😂 But I'm enjoying the earlier books so far! 6mo

It was entertaining but maybe I was expecting more from the main character. I didn‘t like the romance in the novel, maybe because there is a conflict of interest? Too soon? The mystery was okay but the closure...too easy/convenient ? Abrupt?🤷🏽‍♀️ 3 ⭐️ But I will continue the series, I own already various books from this series.

DieAReader I hope you enjoy the other instalments better❤️‍🔥🤓📚 7mo
Gissy @DieAReader I hope so but I still like Dallas😃
This is a long series which makes me think if it has survived all these years is because is interesting and people like it🤗

LiseWorks Oh we like it. Thanks for joining us for #IDLR. I'm actually starting #56 today as I wait for the next one in our readathon as it's on hold. Dallas is a kick ass woman. 7mo

Obviously, I bought this based on the title. While it's kind of self-indulgent of the author, there are some valid, realistic life experiences that she's shared that can be valid, realistic ways to improve your own life. I'm not a twenty-something, so I'm not in the target market, but that doesn't mean I can't take something useful from her words. Buy yourself the f*cking lilies. #56-2023

A story about words and the life of Esme Nicoll. A little slow to get started but I found myself wanting to know what‘s next with her. I wish the title included the lost words were women‘s words. Many people talk about wishing they‘d been born during a more simple time, but I (and this book) will tell you the turn of the 20th century wasn‘t simple for anyone. Book #56 in 2023

23 #56 Interesting enough to keep my attention. I have a feeling that was greatly in part due to Saskia Maarleveld.
