When Ali and her husband Matt decide to separate, Ali moves in with her best friend, Chrissy. Chrissy talks Ali into using a dating app where she meets Ewan. Chrissy and Ewan go on a date that ends up going badly. The next day, Ali wakes up with blood on her, shoes missing, bruises and she can't remember what happened. She also has a condition where she can no longer recognize faces, even those closest to her. A good thriller!

Good switch of story

Mehso-so

Read this for one of my book groups. It was “meh”. Lots of plot twists and drama, but a predictable storyline in general with people in the main character‘s life not being who she thought they were and lots of “secrets” misinterpreted and then resolved.

That last 50% was incredible. The story took a massive twist and turn on the plot. Absolutely loved it. Thought it was a bit slow at first and wasn‘t sure what I was thinking (see previous post) but I can safely say this was a 8/10 overall. Brilliant ending!!!

Excuse the blurry camera but I‘m 50% of the way through now. I‘m finding it good but slow. It builds up and I get into the story and then I find myself reading along and finding it boring and building to nothing. Basically I can‘t work out what I think yet. Little bits and pieces are being revealed but not as quick as I‘d like. I hope it reaches something exciting toward the end......

I think I‘m on a roll at the minute as the last few books I‘ve read have been un-put downable - don‘t even think that‘s a word. But yeah!! Hopefully this one will live up to the others. Loving the cover. How eye grabbing is that!!! #nextread

#ReadingResolutions #JuneTBR @Jess7
I haven't been able to stick with my TBR when I plan in advance the past couple months. So for June I'm keeping it light so i can add to it as my mood shifts on what else I'm going to read.

I had never heard of Prosopagnosia until reading this brilliant and suspenseful book. It‘s a fascinating topic for a thriller and the story is written with insight and compassion. Although, there were times when I wanted to slap Ali with my hairbrush when she made silly choices, (be honest with the police woman!) I genuinely liked her and cared about what she was going through. Thanks to #NetGalley for the chance to discover this great author.

Ali has been persuaded by her friends to go on an internet date. By Sunday morning, Ali‘s life is unrecognisable. She wakes and knows that something is wrong. She is home, she is alone, she is hurt and she has no memory of what happened to her. Worse still, when she looks in the mirror, Ali doesn‘t recognise the face staring back at her. She can‘t recognise her friends and family. And she can‘t recognise the person who is trying to destroy her…

wanderinglynn If I hadn‘t already given up, that synopsis would make me swear off dating. 😂 6y
Jhullie @wanderinglynn I totally agree. I had never heard of Prosopagnosia until I started reading this. It must be horrifying to not recognize who it trying to hurt you. 6y
