The $1000 Project | Canna Campbell
4 posts | 3 read | 1 reading | 4 to read
Financial planner Canna Campbell saved $32,000 in twelve months by using her unique strategy of 'bundling' - saving and earning extra money in small, achievable 'parcels' of $1000. Now she wants to empower you to get the same results! Drawing on material from her popular YouTube channel and website, here Canna shares all of her tips and tricks for saving and earning additional money, as well as advice for turning these savings into long-term 'passive' income through savvy investments. She also gives general advice on how to get financially healthy, including how to clear up bad debt and how to manage your superannuation more sensibly. And she'll keep you motivated, focused and on track as you push yourself towards a better financial future. The $1000 Project is like a diet and exercise plan for your finances - you'll see the immediate results in your bank account, and you'll also come out of it feeling financially fit and strong and ready to set yourself up for success.

Pickpick

I think financial literacy is so important especially for women. This book was extremely easy to read, informative and based on an interesting concept. Not all of it was for me but it did clarify some things and got me thinking about financial goals and how to reach them.

JSW One of the best pieces of advice I received upon getting married was to start a retirement plan and the best money I‘ve ever spent is hiring a financial consultant. 7y
Joanne1 @JSW topping up my super (or retirement fund) is one of my goals. Sadly, in Australia financial advisers have earned themselves a very bad reputation. There's currently a royal commission into the sector after widespread corrupt practices. Fortunately though both my Dad and brother are accountants so I am getting some solid advice from them. 7y

Kids in bed, husband O/S, Commonwealth Games on the telly while I do a spot of reading and enjoy a glass of wine. Think I need some virtual bookish company this Saturday night. Anyone else up to something as exciting as me? Come and keep me company.
(PS also avoiding my LIS assignment).

CocoReads It‘s morning here for me but it‘s rainy and temps are falling so I‘m in for a day of mostly reading and writing. I may go to the library, then again, looking outside, I may not. 7y
Joanne1 @CocoReads we had a day like that too. 7y

Saving while working casually and sporadically is tricky but I'm hoping this books might give me some ideas.
